25/06/2021

14.21% is the highest growth rate since 2015 until now. In which, the industry - construction increased dramatically, reaching 21.98%; agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 5.78%; the service industry increased by 7.5%; compared to the same period in 2020.

The high growth of gross domestic product in the province in the first 6 months of 2021 is due to the fact that the province's gross product grew by negative 0.05% compared to the same period in 2019, so it has established a low level of comparison. At the beginning of 2021, the province has well-controlled the epidemic, persistently implemented the dual goals with appropriate solutions, zoned and isolated effectively. So even though in May, we had to implement social distancing in Vinh Yen city and a number of communes, villages, and neighborhoods in the province, it did not have much impact on production and business activities. People and businesses have gradually adapted to the new "normal" state, not only fighting the epidemic but also producing while the global epidemic is still complicated; production and business gradually recovered and prospered. Enterprises, especially large enterprises, are also very proactive in responding to the Covid-19 epidemic by keeping the working environment clean to ensure the safety of workers in the production environment and prevent the spread of the disease. New businesses for less than 3 years and small and micro enterprises are most affected by Covid 19. However, in general, the production and business results of enterprises still remain the stability and growth. Some key industrial products have recovered their production capacity, so there is a high increase such as electronic components, cars, and motorcycles, contributing to the growth of the industry to 23.26% compared to the same period.

Enterprises in industrial zones maintain production operation

Agricultural production also continues to develop stably. Especially the pig herd is gradually recovering, the total herd has increased compared to the same period. The yield of live pork has increased significantly. For the service industries, although there was a decline in May due to the impact of the epidemic, in general, there was still a significant increase compared to the same period in 2020 in all fields: trade, tourism, and freight transport and passengers.

In the last 6 months of 2021, all levels and sectors continue to put the highest priority to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; comprehensively implement the tasks and solutions set out in the Action Program No. 02 of the Provincial People's Committee on continuing to perform the main tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance competitiveness all over the country in 2021. In which, reviewing and rearranging the priority order, selecting key tasks that need directing to accelerate the implementation progress, prioritizing solutions to promote production and business development, services, disbursement of public investment capital. Implementing synchronously and effectively appropriate mechanisms and policies to support businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises to overcome the difficulties of the Covid-19 pandemic, quickly restore production and business.
