Many solutions to recover and promote industrial production

Covid-19 has caused the decrease of industrial production in the province in the first 6 months of 2020 compared to the same period of the last year. The provincial People's Committee has directed branches and businesses to implement many solutions to promote industrial production growth and make efforts to complete the plan set for 2020.

In the first 6 months of 2020, industrial production activities in the province have faced many difficulties due to Covid-19, the production value is estimated at VND 11,000 billion, down 9% compared to the same period in 2019. In particular, the output of production of most key industrial products decreased sharply such as: cars of all kinds decreased by 24.8%; motorbike down 14.4%; tiles decreased by 22.5%; clothes down 4.5%; electronic components decreased by 7.7% ...

According to the evaluation of the provincial People's Committee, the main reason for the decline in the value of industrial production is the impact of Covid-19 epidemic so many businesses have had difficulties in production and business activities. In addition to the shortage of raw materials, some businesses also face difficulties because experts and highly qualified workers must implement the policy of restricting entry and unable to work in Vietnam. Some businesses have had to make plans for temporary workers to quit their jobs due to the reduction of revenue and profit.

In order to recover and promote industrial production, the provincial People's Committee has directed functional departments, branches, units and localities to implement synchronous solutions to remove difficulties for enterprises. The focus is on continuing to reduce administrative procedures, timely addressing proposals and recommendations related to production and business activities; support investors of infrastructure of industrial parks and complexes, projects which have been approved for investment policies to solve problems and difficulties related to compensation and ground clearance to accelerate progress of project implementation. At the same time, actively explore and grasp the specific situation of each industry and each field of production and business; since then, it has coordinated with the banking industry and the provincial Tax Department to support debt restructuring, reduce interest rates, extend and postpone credit debts, and delay the deadline for paying taxes and land rents; support to pay salary loans to workers who have stopped working for businesses affected by the disease.
